Our story began in Tokyo the city of our birth. Brought up mixed heritage and exposed to cuisine from around the world food has always been at the heart of what we love.

Moving to Bristol from Japan, one thing we found missing from the culinary scene was Japanese Bento culture and so we came up with the idea of starting ‘Daikan’ (inspired by Daikanyama next to Shibuya where we grew up).

Our concept for our bento boxes are ‘traditional Japanese flavours with locally sourced ingredients’ with our bentos featuring ingredients cured, fermented, marinaded and created using Japanese culinary heritage methods.

To make sure we use the freshest local produce we take bookings up to 10pm 48hrs in advance and can be delivered to addresses indicated in our map.
